Make certain to put in your subject line that it is an application and the *main* character you are applying for. (Example: Application for "Harry Potter".)

1. Your top three choices for a character. You should always refer to the Beyond Hogwarts information page to make certain that the character(s) you are applying for aren't already taken.
   
   
2. Give us a sample entry. Please keep in mind that this does not necessarily mean that you must use this sample in the RPG. However, the entry should be in third-person narrative form and be about the character that is your first choice. If you are uncertain what narrative form means, please contact us and we will be happy to explain.
   
   
3. Provide a biography about the character that is your first choice. If you do not receive your first choice, we will contact you about providing a biography for your second and/or third choices. For an example of biographies, take a look at Blaise's biography.
   
   
4. Do you have RPG experience? Now, if you don't that doesn't mean that we won't consider you. Everyone has to start somewhere, right? However, we would like to know if you are a "screaming newbie" or a "veteran".
   
   
5. Do you know how to create a Live Journal and post in it? Once again, if you do not this does not mean that we will not consider you. We just need to know if you need any pointers or are familiar with the Live Journal site.
   
   
6. Have you read the rules for "Beyond Hogwarts" and do you agree to follow them? This is just a standard disclaimer so you can't later claim to not have read the rules.
   
   
7. Are you willing to participate in NC-17 scenes? (This includes het and slash.) Now, this doesn't mean that you have to participate in either. It simply means that you are willing to consider having your character involved with another person in an intimate setting.
   
   
8. Do you certify that you are 18 years of age or older? Here, we actually need a statement that goes something like: I swear that I am at least 18 years of age and am legally allowed to view and participate in adult activities.
   
   
9. Your contact information. (Email addresses, AIM name, Yahoo IM name, MSN, etc.) Note that this information will be posted at the files section of the Beyond Hogwarts Yahoo Group, as well as the website, and therefore will be accessible to others unless you specifically request otherwise.
